Darniesha Pressley

Operations Coordinator
Livestream Specialist

Cameras, filming, and creativity have always been passions for Darniesha. Starting when she was a High School freshman in Philadelphia, she began learning camera skills from WHYY (the local Philadelphia PBS station). Darniesha has always found a way to be behind the camera and a part of the creative process.

Her involvement with WinC started in SOC 119 as a student in the Fall of 2017. From there, she progressed to joining the Stream Team in Spring 2018 and started hanging around Pond Lab (where World in Conversation is situated on campus) more and more. In 2019, having completed the stream team course as a student, Darniesha became student staff and expanded her role with SOC 119. Darniesha graduated from Penn State in Spring of 2021 with a BA in Film Production and a minor in Spanish. After graduating, Sam asked if Darniesha would come back to continue helping to grow SOC 119 and her role within World in Conversation, which she gladly accepted.

Currently, Darniesha is both the Stream Team Lead for Soc 119 and Operations Assistant for World in Conversation. Teaching students the basics of camera operating and live streaming, while helping with dialogue operations for the Center. Outside of World in Conversation, she practices photography.
